The poems in this chapbook were written using the Instagram Stories feature. They explore how the medium and process in which a poem is written affects the poem itself. The poems consider aging, the passage of time, and our relationship to social media amidst the awareness of our own data as social and economic currency.
Written in 2021, the poems were shared daily via Instagram Stories throughout the month of January 2022. They’ve been removed from Instagram with the release of this collection, a booklet of white text on black pages that are meant to evoke the IG Stories format.
