Hi! It’s 2022 and I’ve decided to relaunch this section of my site. Why? Well, first of all, I’ve been busy and I need a place on the internet that belongs to me and solely me to memorialize my busyness. In the past, this was more of a bulletin board of professional news, but I think I’ll use it more like a journal now. We’ll see how that goes.
Anyway, here’s a list of things current, in no particular order:
I spent all of this month posting poems on my non-design/personal Instagram:@heytishon from my forthcoming chapbook (more about that soon). Thank you to everyone who’s been reading along and dropping into my DMs to show appreciation.
I’m back at Ralph Appelbaum Associates, working as an Art Director on their Social Projects team. It feels good to be back in the museum design space and to be working alongside Aki Carpenter and the RAA team again.
I moved to Cleveland back in October and I love it here.
I’ve been enjoying the work of the poet Chen Chen.
I’ve also been moved by Jorie Graham’s book, Runaway.
I’m thinking a lot about daily rituals and the speciousness of personal mythology.
I miss riding motorcycles and look forward to warmer weather.
I’m really happy about the fact that the Cavs are a legit team this year, having moved to Cleveland and everything.
